Zubayr ibn Al-Awam was born into the Quraysh tribe in Mecca around 594 CE. He was the son of Al-Awam ibn Khuwaylid and Safiyyah bint Abd al-Muttalib, the aunt of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). This made him the Prophet’s first cousin.

Zubayr accepted Islam at a young age, becoming one of the earliest converts. He faced severe persecution from the Quraysh but remained steadfast in his faith.

Migration to Abbasiniya
